Conversion of a joinery workshop into offices, showroom and training facilities
A carpentry workshop built in 1910, this building has been transformed over time, to the point of losing its original industrial identity.
The aim of our intervention is to restore the identity of this atypical space, which characterized the workshops at the turn of the century: demolition of the zinc roof and installation of a glass roof on the grid of the existing glass roof in the original building permit, enhancement of the riveted metal structure, replacement of the disparate façade windows with vertical grid windows.
As the building has three blind facades over a depth of 25 m, the transparency of the spaces and the provision of natural light are key elements of the project.
