Construction of a courthouse housing the county court, the district court, the commercial court and the industrial tribunal, including five courtrooms and seven chambers, as well as five cells for prisoners on trial or visiting the judge.
The new courthouse has become a centerpiece of the Ain department, under the supervision of the Lyon courthouse.
It is part of the government's plan to transform the national judicial map, initiated by Justice Minister Rachida Dati.
The large glass façade over the salle des pas perdus offers partial transparency onto the park, welcoming visitors from the city. The large roof stretching to the edge of the plot, its colonnade and the steps leading up to the salle des pas perdus make it a buffer space, protected but open, shaded and luminous, progressing between the dynamic urban exterior and the interior of the courthouse.
