Construction of a new prison
Our aim was to design a clear, structured architecture and functional organization that would be easily understood by all those involved in the project, including inmates, families and staff, as well as residents of the town and surrounding area.
This legibility makes it easier for everyone to take ownership of places and spaces, facilitating their use.
This notion of acceptance by those involved in a project becomes the basis of our thinking when designing a shared space. But legibility also means safety for staff.
