Construction of the Villefranche-sur-Saône Intervention Center to meet the new needs of firefighters from the Rhône departmental fire and rescue service, and to accommodate part of the headquarters.
This complex was built in situ on the existing fire station. The project comprises two separate buildings and major restructuring of the emergency vehicle garages.
An "administrative" building is on the ground floor (R+2). In order to offer users a minimum of privacy, the building on the street side is virtually blind on the first floor, but is largely open onto the inner courtyard. The program includes barracks, changing rooms, sports halls and a ball-game training area. The top floor houses offices and the departmental command center.
A building is reserved for snow removal and traffic control operations. A dedicated area for river units and a toxic gas training area complete the system.
The facade is made of powder-coated aluminum panels.
