Reconstruction of the Lycée Daguin half-board and general services building
School catering (1,800 meals), student center and general services
A joint facility of the Lycée Fernand Daguin and the Lycée Professionnel Marcel Dassault, the half-boarding facility is located at the junction of the two establishments. The oval shape of the dining hall creates a friendly, unifying space, opening onto a vast shared courtyard.
The half-board building features highly glazed facades under a vast overhanging roof that also serves as a shelter for the students. The interior wooden ceiling extends outwards under the eaves to accentuate the immateriality of the facades. The green roof also houses the technical equipment for the kitchen and boiler room, all of which are visually protected by panels of wooden slats.
Particular attention has been paid to the acoustics of the working and dining areas.
