"Reinventing Le Havre

We suggested inhabiting the site through a succession of urban events designed to multiply ambiences, situations and points of view:

• the station forecourt,
• Place du Vertugadin, which opens onto the hospital,
• the promenade that joins the costière,
• cross gardens that can be extended and open onto the hospital,
• Belvedere housing on the hillside, with views of the town and the sea.

The site is designed with a sequenced, flexible and reversible architecture that invites visitors to stroll around, dialogues with its surroundings and builds the landscape along the funicular.

In a way, we wanted to surprise people by offering complementary uses and different ways of living in the heart of the highly distinctive Costière landscape.
