Construction of an apprentice training center, including an automotive and personal care center, teaching facilities, amphitheater and catering.
A beacon at the entrance to the city...
The Institut des Métiers combines theoretical and practical training, with general teaching areas and shared workshops.
A long, three-storey building forms the urban façade on Avenue du Cardinal Richaud. With a wide, protected forecourt at its center, it marks the entrance to the institute. The hall is extended by vast corridors onto which the workshop modules are grafted. A large prefabricated concrete building, the motorcycle workshop is lit by a series of patios and curved roof sheds, the shape of which evokes the curves of a car body. The curved volume of the amphitheatre creates a dialogue with them. Overhanging the restaurant on the north-west side, it creates an ensemble of luminous volumes which, at night, will enhance the entire site.
