Campus HEP second teaching building on the René Cassin Campus.
Construction of a five-storey training building (R+4) on a basement not accessible to the public, for use as a parking lot (34 spaces), also housing technical premises (storage, reprographics):
- on the first floor: a reception hall, a business incubator and various rooms;
- on R+1 to R+4: classrooms and offices for teachers.
The building can accommodate 1,457 people simultaneously, making it a 2ᵉ category ERP.
The complex is an extension of the nearby René Cassin 1 campus (already designed by Marc Seifert architecte associé à Sud Architecte).
With its sober volume, dynamic flowing lines and luminous white appearance, not to mention the meticulous attention to detail, the building is a characteristic and significant element of Lyon's university architecture.
The solid base, finished in architecturally matte concrete, contrasts with the large openings in the hall, clad in metal "lace".
Students can choose from a wide range of spaces, including classrooms, an incubator, a large hall, sub-group rooms, relaxation areas, lounges and carrels, as well as outdoor spaces such as accessible or planted terraces.
