Objectif Grand Paris: when the press talks logistics

In the wake of a feature on the Green Dock project - a new-generation logistics platform designed by the A26 GL agency in Gennevilliers, with Ben Burk as project manager - the Objectif Grand Paris newspaper devotes a long article to the career of the man who some call "Mr. Logistics".

Highlighting architect Philippe Gallois' 35 years of experience, Journal Objectif Grand Paris retraces the major projects of the man who has taken logistics real estate from "shoeboxes" to remarkable projects such as his most emblematic project of recent years: Chapelle International.

"30 years ago, in logistics, 5% of projects were interesting and 95% were boilerplate. Today, it's the other way around," recalls the man whose agency has brought several million square meters of logistics buildings out of the ground.

Passionate about the environment long before the energy transition became a civilizational priority, Philippe Gallois has been behind many innovations in the field. After having conceptualized the 18 environmental avenues in logistics at the end of the last century, he was one of the first to explore, over the years, roofs covered with photovoltaic panels, positive-energy buildings, urban logistics infrastructures combined with urban farms, high-rise warehouses...

A fascinating article on the major developments in a sector that the pandemic has put in the spotlight, reminding us of the extent to which it has been able to innovate under the leadership of passionate designers to meet today's societal challenges.
