The Podensac hospital, made up of a group of heterogeneous buildings, launched an architectural competition to rebuild its site, in a "drawer" operation, by demolishing/reconstructing existing buildings to obtain, in fine, a coherent architectural and functional object. This phased operation, on an occupied site, will take 48 months to complete.

As the only long-term care center in the area, the project is a vital link in the geriatric care chain. The new care center is intended to give the site a new coherence and face, through a combination of solid elements (buildings) and empty elements (gardens, patio).

The architectural layout of the project takes into account the presence of an existing building, which we are restructuring and bringing up to standard. By integrating the existing building, our layout aims to create a coherent overall image of the residence as a single establishment, rather than a motley collection of buildings.
