APPROACH
CERTIVEA-certified project
In the 12ᵉ arrondissement of Paris, on a plot of land located rue de Reuilly, construction of a building complex with a total of 166 places on behalf of the Association Monsieur Vincent (AMV) and housing several accommodation programs related to the care of the elderly.
Construction
- a 106-bed nursing home;
- an 8-bed Alzheimer's unit for young people (aged 40 and over) and a guest room;
- a social residence with 34 ARFOG studios for street women;
- a 26-studio home for the Daughters of Charity, including a guest room;
- a 30-bed community crèche;
offices; - a chapel welcoming pilgrims from all over the world.
Set in the heart of an urbanistically constrained area, this complex intergenerational program takes up the challenge of bringing together a set of different functional entities cohabiting in a secure setting.
It's a place open to the world, because the Congregation of the Daughters of Charity (Saint Vincent de Paul) is made up of 15,000 women in 95 countries around the world.
Pilgrims come to visit the relics of the last French saint to be canonized in 1947, Catherine Labouré, whose name is recognized throughout the Catholic world.
The chapel is flanked by a 19-meter-long, 4.50-meter-high stained glass window, probably one of the largest in the world on a public thoroughfare.
