20,000 m² dedicated to Airbus A400M maintenance
A26 responded to the project management competition for the construction of aeronautical maintenance buildings for A400M aircraft on the site of the Atelier Industriel de l'Aéronautique (AIA) in Clermont-Ferrand. The AIA praised this approach, placing this response in the final.
A large-scale project to support AIA's plans to build nearly 20,000 m² of maintenance space for defense Airbus, to be integrated into an existing site.
The issue of operability inspired the entire approach proposed by A26. "Our vision of operability took the form of an inverted L-shaped positioning," explains David Ory, head of Lab'A26. "Three naves aligned north/south (high naves) with the doors facing west, and a nave in the southern part (low nave) close to the other buildings. This orientation provided an opening onto the taxiway, and created a hollow tooth at the rear where the tertiary and logistics zone would be located, protected from the noise of the forecourt by the naves themselves".
Noted by the AIA, the A26 project proposed an architectural expression of great formal sobriety and a quality of materials seeking to anchor the whole in a modernity and durability that will initiate the future coherence of the buildings on the site.
"The choice of materials proposed is designed to ensure the longevity of the building by guaranteeing the quality of its constituent parts and their ease of maintenance and upkeep," continues David Ory. "It is in this same spirit of preserving the future that A26 has defined an environmental approach that optimizes control of energy consumption, as well as maintenance and operating costs, while ensuring comfort for occupants. For example, the implementation of a thermally efficient facade is supported by a gas radiant system in the naves for heating, a natural light gain of over 10% for the naves, and a study of water recovery right from the APS phase".
It should be noted that this project made A26's BIM team an essential component of the overall success of this mission.

CARBON-NEUTRAL PLATFORM
100,000 m², 45 million parcels delivered per year, 150 KT of CO2 neutralized, gas-fired boiler abandoned: the latest logistics platform delivered to Prologis in Moissy-Cramayel by the A26 agency inaugurates the standards of tomorrow's responsible warehouse. This carbon-neutral certification for both construction and operation is a world first, simultaneously meeting the development challenges of the Casino Group's quick commerce business and the social responsibility of Samada/Monoprix and Prologis.
