LIVING IN A PARK, A BELVEDERE ON THE SEVRE RIVER

The project is located on blocks 1C and 2B, on the western edge of the La Persagotière housing estate, which brings together various housing projects on the site of a former school. The general layout respects the wooded areas, a former château and a small chapel.

Comprising three buildings, two of which are aligned with the château, the project forms a building frontage on the belvedere promenade overlooking the banks of the Sèvre Nantaise, which flows along the bottom of the site.

The buildings, from R+3 to R+6, feature contemporary white concrete architecture, with pronounced horizontal lines and facades sculpted by a principle of wide overhanging balconies with slightly bent lines, staggered from one level to the next. These irregular cantilevers, combining the transparency of glass balconies with metal panels or cellars separating the apartments, create a variety of outdoor spaces, offering wide views of the landscape while respecting the privacy of residents.
